The Runaway is a 46' Carolina boat built by Sheldon Midgett in Wanchese, NC. It has a spacious cabin with A/C & heat, as well as a large cockpit that accommodates 6 fisherman.
The Captain
Captain Jay Daniels began fishing at a young age. He has been the Captain of the Runaway since 2009. Prior to that he was a mate on various boats in Hatteras.

- All fishing gear is provided, the only thing you need to bring along for your fishing trip is whatever you want to eat and drink during your time on the boat.
How many people can we bring with us?
- The boat is licensed to allow a maximum of 6 guests. Whether they are coming along for the ride or fishing.
Is a fishing license required?
- No, the boat covers fishing license for all guests.
Do we need to tip the mate?
- The mate works for tips, 20% is customary.
